Apr. 8th, 2009 11:35 pm"QB?" Taylor mumbled groggily, feeling around blindly in the dark to seek contact with any part of her fiancé she could grab first. She opened her eyes just a little, but it was too dark to see. She knew he was there, though. It had been his abrupt movement beside her that had woken her up. "Are ya' 'k? Ya' sick? Ya' needin' somethin'?" she asked huskily.
It had to be late. There was no light coming in through the sides of the curtains and there was a slight chill in the air. But in the time she had been spending nights sharing a bed with Jason, she had never known him to wake up in the middle of the night, so she was automatically concerned something was wrong.

Taylor parked her car up on the front lawn of the apartment and shoved her keys in the pocket of her long knitted coat as she got out and slammed the door. She pushed her unruly blonde curls back out of her face as she hurried up the path, but before she reached the front door, it opened and Jason appeared with Tim just behind him. She stopped as their gaze met and bit down on her lip. She hesitantly breached the gap, stuffing her hands into her pockets. “I-I just couldn’t wait any longer to see ya’, darlin’…” she told him nervously. “I should never have run away in the first place and I’m so sorry. I just had t’come.”
Jason shook his head. “No, it’s okay. I was just… I was just coming to see you,” he assured her and reached out to touch her arm. “Are you okay?”
( Tim weaved his way around Jason’s chair and stepped out onto the front lawn. “Yeah, I’m gonna go do shit… somewhere else… not here. Catch yas.” He was about as subtle as knee in the nuts, but so what? )

Jason had a lot of forward planning on his hands. When he suggested the day before to Taylor that they do something together that day, it had been merely just an attempt to cheer her up after she had been sick and miserable for the past couple of days. When he decided to head to the park just down the block from their apartment for a picnic, it all seemed easy enough. At least, it had until Taylor woke up in the early hours of the morning vomiting again. Jason woke with her this time and camped out in the bathroom to keep her company, although he couldn't let it go without firmly suggesting almost to the point of irritation that Taylor should go to the doctor. She reluctantly agreed and made an appointment for the end of the week. She was going to have to go sooner or later anyway.
( But Jason's picnic plans seemed defunct when Taylor was likely not going to want to put anything but water near her mouth and, even then, water was questionable... )

Breakin' out of this two-star town.

It had definitely been a lazy day, and probably was the start of a lazy week. In fact, if the clock was correct, it was after midday and Taylor was only just managing to shift her ass out of bed without immediately being hit with a wave of vomit-inducing nausea. She sat tentatively on the side of the bed, rubbing her hand over her stomach to analyse how she was feeling now. Still tired and just a little bit sick, but nowhere near as terrible as she had in the early hours of the morning. She was alone in the bed again, but before she had time to even consider that, she spotted a large note on a full sheet of A4 paper taped to the lamp with Jason’s messy print explaining that Sam had just taken him over to his parents’ place so he could pick up some more of his stuff. The note was ended with kisses and a smiley face. Taylor smiled to herself and touched the edge of the note fondly.
( But her conversation with Sam a few hours early jumped back into her mind and the smile faded in favour of biting her lip anxiously... )

The idea of spending a couple of days in bed had gone over pretty well with Tim. Sam had told him the night before after the talk with J, and eating pizza. The couple had made a head start already, and T had only just rolled over to go back to sleep when Sam's pee sense started tingling. She giggled quietly to herself at the in-joke, Tim already dead to the world and didn't stir. It was amazing how quickly the guy could go to sleep. Sam got out of bed, and made a face as her feet hit the cool air. She hated cold feet, which was why most nights in bed she wore a pair of Tim's socks. Bit by bit she was slowly claiming items of his wardrobe. It was a coup to have even had him willingly give up one. Most times she didn't even think he noticed. She pulled on a pair of sweats and a tank top to avoid a naked disaster of her own, already hopping from foot to foot as her pee sense started to tingle stronger.
With a mad dash, a quick knock and a sigh of relief, Sam managed to get into the bathroom before any accidents and came back out with a yawn. Before she went back to bed to start her two day lie-in, she walked up to the kitchen to find some juice to take with her. She smiled to herself as she saw her slippers on the floor near the sink, now remembering having put them on just after the pizza had arrived. Sam wasn't as neat as she'd like to think. She had a terrible habit of leaving things the last place she used them. Just as she slipped her foot into the left one, she frowned as her foot hit paper and there was a loud crinkling sound.
( Sam immediately pulled her foot back out and bent down to fish out the paper, stifling another yawn... )

( It was the tiredness that was claiming her, though. For about the last week, no matter how much sleep she got, she always felt the same. Perhaps it was depression over being away from work or delayed reaction to her attack, but she wasn’t stupid... )
